WALLFLOWER

Thunderstorms and Tornados

Right now I am on vacation in the Midwest Summerland visiting my mommy’s friends and my friend Arden. We are in Illinois, in Chicago. Arden and her mommy moved here last year. They live in a big house outside the cityscape. In this landscape there are many fields, green and lush, and many horses, and we got to go riding. I was a little bit afraid, and my horse kept trying to graze all along the trail. But it was fun and beautiful. Here, even the air looks green, and it is thick with rain and the smell of flowers, and lots of mosquitos. There was a magical thunderstorm over the fields, and you couldn’t even see in front of you. Arianne and I fell asleep to this, and far away in the distance I thought, maybe, I saw a tornado moving gracefully across.
