I have chosen the theme of Solitude, because it is a feeling that I have known myself for as long I can remember. Solitude doesn’t necessarily mean being physically alone, but is more a feeling of loneliness. Funnily enough I have experienced this feeling at its strongest at times when I have been with others. People can experience loneliness for many reasons, and many life events may cause people to feel a disconnect with their surroundings and with other people. As I use photography as a means of self-expression, the theme came to me itself. I think we all must face solitude at some point point in our lives, if not within ourselves, then we will surely see it around us if we look.
