Online arts community Girl Trip was created as a digital forum for women 35 and under to share their creative work. At the end of last month, the platform also curated an exhibition IRL at East Hollywood gallery The Lodge.
The collection, which is on display through this Saturday, includes work by Lisa Solberg, Lucia Ribisi, Austyn Weiner, Ana Maria Paixao, and plenty more talented ladies. And the closing night event will be punctuated with even more influential movers-and-shakers in LA’s art community.
In addition to catching a final look at the inspiring exhibition, guests to the gallery between 5:30pm and 7pm will be treated to a panel discussion where photographer Autumn de Wilde (she’s pretty much shot all your fave musicians for publications like Rolling Stone, Spin, and Nylon), director Zoe Cassavettes, and artist Kysa Johnson — among others — will be offering their best advice for how to advance in the art world.
Following the talk, Girl Trip will present a screening of short films by up-and-coming female directors. Attendance costs nothing, but guests are asked to RSVP to rsvp@dimodapr.com.
